You are here
A group of 65 IOM staff from 19 Missions in the SEEECA region, in addition to colleagues of the Regional Office in Vienna, participated in the roll-out training for IOM's new project management system PRIMA FOR ALL from 9 to 13 September.
During the training, project developers, project managers and assistants as well as administration and finance officers had the opportunity to test the system by creating concept notes and full project proposals. IOM staff also went through the different processes available in PRIMA (Project Information and Management Application), such as project approval for submission/endorsement and project revision.
PRIMA FOR ALL offers a large range of possibilities that aims to reinforce IOM project development and management processes and enhance the quality of project proposals, while promoting the internal cooperation among colleagues in Missions, Regional Offices and Headquarters. Also, PRIMA FOR ALL will work as an institutional project repository tool which will help capturing and compiling project-related data through the use of dashboards. Therefore, the new system will not only support the implementation of IOM project development and management policies but also the Organization’s knowledge management and reporting efforts.
Following the PRIMA regional roll-out training, all participants, in coordination with PRIMA Team and RO Vienna, will cascade the training among relevant colleagues in their Missions, in order to ensure a smooth implementation of the new system throughout the SEEECA region as of October.
