Cash Based Interventions in Turkey

Explore how IOM Turkey works with local municipalities to identify vulnerable Syrian and Turkish families and assist them using technology developed by partner Red Rose

This video explains how IOM Turkey uses cash-based interventions to meet a wide range of needs and services for beneficiaries. Together with tech partner Red Rose, IOM began using a cash-based approach in 2016 across several programme areas including Winterization, Basic Needs, Livelihoods, Shelter and Protection. To date IOM Turkey has reached over 24,000 households in southeastern Turkey. With 155 IOM-approved vendors across four provinces, the programme more directly meets beneficiaries’ needs, providing them with greater choice while strengthening local markets.
