Europe - Mixed Migration Flows to Europe Monthly Overview (February 2019)

  

A total of 11,552 migrants and refugees arrived in Europe between January and February 2019, the lowest number reported since 2015 when 12,258 sea and land arrivals were recorded. 52 per cent of individuals arrived through the Western Mediterranean route to Spain.

DTM team interviewed 5,328 migrants and refugees who travelled to Europe through Eastern, Central and Western Mediterranean route between July and October 2018.

7,671 migrants and refugees arrived in Europe through different land and sea routes in January 2019. More than a half (60%) of all arrivals were registered arriving through the Western Mediterranean Route.
