IOM Chief of Staff Eugenio Ambrosi spent most of the week in Bosnia and Herzegovina where he and Chief of Mission Laura Lungarotti met the Minister of Security, Director of Service for Foreigners’ Affairs, Prime Minister of Una Sana Canton, and the Mayor of Bihać.
After many months far from their Asian home, nine Nepalese nationals have been helped by IOM to get back to their families. With tickets in hand, they morning they recently boarded a plane from Pristina airport to Istanbul, where another flight transferred them to Kathmandu, Nepal.
In March, residents of Rozhysche in Ukraine, managed to identify a bulrush fire with a drone provided by IOM, and stopped it with the help of local firefighters, while schoolchildren of the Tiachiv amalgamated territorial community started sorting waste with IOM-provided bins.
