Ukraine War Two Years On: IOM Director General's Message

For too long, Ukraine has endured the devastating impact of war. Destruction is widespread and suffering continues.

Through it all, IOM has been a constant presence in Ukraine and neighbouring countries. We’ve helped more than 6.5 million people with critical and, in many cases, life-saving assistance.

We have hundreds of dedicated IOM personnel in Ukraine and the region, and they go to extraordinary lengths to help people amidst challenging circumstances.

IOM has been and will be steadfast in our commitment to deliver essential humanitarian aid and support reconstruction and recovery efforts.

Our three-year strategic response plan for Ukraine lays the groundwork for continued humanitarian assistance, along with creating paths for rebuilding and recovery.

We have been working closely with the Ukrainian Government, civil society and international partners to increase resilience and inclusion, create a conducive environment for safe returns and foster sustainable development for the people of Ukraine and its future generations.

We stand with the people of Ukraine and those affected by this war. We will continue to be with you as we rebuild.
